"I believe there's at least another four or five years left in my legs, and I hope that's as an England player as well as a Real Madrid player," Beckham was quoted as saying by BBC on Tuesday.
"I feel great physically and mentally, and it's perfect," Beckham added.
The former Manchester United player visited the new under-construction Wembley stadium, and expressed his admiration of the building saying that he wants to carry on as England skipper and lead the team into the new stadium.
The 31-year-old, who will lead England in next month's World Cup, has been the team captain since 2001, but it's yet to be known whether the next England coach, Steve McClaren, will keep him in his position as skipper or not after the tournament.
"For now I'm the captain and I'll lead the team into this World Cup and hopefully be successful, after that we'll wait and see," Beckham said.
"The manager will decide and when Steve takes over he will decide on that," he considered.
