"The player has officially signed for us, he’ll be a good addition for the team, especially since we will be playing in the fourth edition of the Arab Champions League (ACL)," Enppi football director Alaa Abdel-Sadek told FilGoal.com on Monday.

The 22-year-old defender was reportedly eyed by a number of top clubs including Zamalek and Ismaili after an excellent campaign with Ittihad Alexandria in both the Egyptian league and the African Confederation Cup this season.

Al-Shayeb, who guided Ittihad to the Egyptian Cup final last season, will be the fifth player to join Enppi following Ghazl Mahalla duo Reda Metwalli and Ahmed Al-Muhammadi as well as Reda Gomaa and Ahmed Mohamed from Sharkeya Smoke.

On the other hand, Abdel-Sadek said that an agreement with former Egyptian international Hany ramzy has been reached to take over as Enppi's assistant coach and revealed that German coach Rainer Zobel is due to arrive in Cairo by the end of the Egyptian Cup.
