Ahli are bidding for a third consecutive title

Spanish champions Barcelona demanded €2 million to play a friendly against Ahli in December as part of the club’s centennial celebrations.

Ahli’s board, who insisted that they could allocate the asking price, appointed Egyptian Council for Sports member Hesham Al-Kheshin to negotiate a deal with the European champions.

On the other hand, Ahli announced signing Kafr Al-Sheikh striker Ahmed Al-Mulla for EGP 250,000 on Wednesday.

A friendly match between Ahli and Kafr Al-Sheikh will also be held, where the revenue will be awarded to the latter according to the player’s deal.

“This is a winning deal, Al-Mulla can play with both legs and is still at a young age,” Ahli marketing director Adli Al-Kaeyi told FilGoal.com exclusively on Wednesday.

Al-Kaeyi said that the deal was finalized on the Kafr Al-Sheikh governor’s office in the presence of Ahli general manager Muharram Al-Ragheb and the 19-year-old forward, who has become the club’s sixth signing for the new season.

Meanwhile, Ahli assistant coach Hossam Al-Badri said that he will head to Austria after the end of the Egyptian Cup to check the training ground that was recommended by Austrian club Liebherr GAK for their new season preparations.

GAK are giving Ahli until January to send their final answer regarding their offer to host them in the summer.
