Zamalek managing director Hani Ebada told FilGoal.com that Mido asked to train with the team in order to keep his fitness and Portuguese coach Manuel Cajuda welcomed the player's presence at the club.

However Ebada stressed that Mido training with the team is in no way an implication that there are negotiations to sign him.

"Mido loves Zamalek, it is normal that he would come and train in his home club during his presence in Egypt," Ebada said on Wednesday.

"Mido came to the club only to train and to stay in shape,” a well informed Zamalek source confirmed to FilGoal.com.

The former Ajax and Marseille player, who has been on an 18-month loan at English club Tottenham is expected to return to AS Roma.

The 23-year-old ace did not reach an agreement with the London club over extending his loan or securing a permanent move.

Mido was among the attendance at Zamalek's 5-2 win over Arab Contractors in the Egyptian Cup on Tuesday.
