Ahli striker Osama Hosni said he will return to action in a 10-day recovery period following a mild surgery for his groin muscle problem.

"I need 10 days of therapeutic exercises, then I’ll be ready to play in the team’s training again," Hosni told FilGoal.com exclusively on Monday.

Hosni was forced to undergo the surgery due to his persistent groin muscle problem, which proved strain-free after every medical scan but intensified after every match he played, an issue that drove the club board to send him to Germany for treatment.

“Even though I’ll be needing only 10 days for recovery, I wont play with Ahli until the new season, this season is virtually over,” Hosni insisted.

The Egyptian football season ends on Friday, which is scheduled for the Egyptian Cup final.

Ahli are scheduled to face Harras Al-Hodoud and Zamalek will play against Ismaili in the Egyptian Cup semi-finals on Tuesday, with the winners of both matches facing-off in the tournament finals.

On the other hand, Ahli midfielder Ahmed Hassan “Estakoza” played down reports that indicated a possible move to Enppi next season.

“I haven’t met with any Enppi officials and I didn’t negotiate anything with them, I haven’t received any offers until now from anybody to leave Ahli,” Hassan said.

Ahli defender Rami Adel also said that he was staying with Ahli until the next season and insisted that the African champions didn’t indicate that they would let him go.
