Suspended Zamalek President Mortada Mansour has called upon Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif to "save Zamalek" from the "bias" of Egyptian High Council of Sports (HCS) chairman Hassan Saqr.

Mansour spoke to reporters outside Zamalek's gates after the HCS banned him from holding press conferences within the club walls.

"They (top officials) have to intervene to put an end to Saqr's actions," Mansour said. "He is biased and can't stand up to Ahli's officials."

The controversial club president insisted he was still in charge of Zamalek despite Saqr's decision to relief him of his post.

"I'm still the president and no one can stop me from entering the club," the seasoned lawyer insisted.

Mansour also accused the eight Zamalek board members who were appointed by Saqr of stirring problems within the club.

He also said that he will see through all the deals he was planning for Zamalek in the upcoming period even if he loses his presidency, noting that he will finance the deals from his own money.

After the conference, Mansour entered the club where he was received by his supporters who chanted anti-Saqr slogans.
