Brazil playmaker Ricardo Kaka has extended his contract with Italian giants AC Milan until 2011, the Serie A club said Friday.

Kaka has ended all speculation regarding his future by putting pen-to-paper on a five-year year deal with the Serie A runners-up, Milan said on their official website.

The 24-year-old was linked with a possible move to Spanish giants Real Madrid after their presidential candidate Ramon Calderon promised to bring him to the Santiago Bernabeu in case he becomes in charge of the club.

However, Milan complained to FIFA about the illegal approach and Kaka's signing would put an end to all suggestions and rumors.

Kaka, who joined Milan from Sao Paulo in 2003, is currently on international duty with Brazil at the World Cup, where he produced fine display in the first round.
