Mohamed Abdul-Wahab has informed Al-Zafra club that he is interested in signing permanently for Egyptian champions Ahli.

The 23-year-old winger, whose two-year loan to Ahli expired at the end of last season, sent an official fax to his original club Al-Zafra via the UAE Football Association informing them of his decision.

Abdul-Wahab's fax explained that he is not interested in joining any other club and that he will also not be able to return to the UAE given his active military service status, Ahli assistant coach Hossam Al-Badri told FilGoal.com.

The Egypt international has a clause in his contract with Al-Zafra that allows him to terminate the deal if he is called up for military service.

In this case Al-Zafra, who bought Abdul-Wahab from Aluminum club in 2003, will be legible for a refund for all the payments they made for the player.

Abdul-Wahab, who also played for Enppi on a one-year loan, excelled during his time with Ahli and managed to win a host of local and continental titles with the Cairo powerhouse.
