Al-Wehda official Abdullah Khoqair blasted Egyptian club Ismaili over statements regardings German coach Theo Buecker, Saudi newspaper Al-Watan reported on Tuesday.

The Ismaili board had announced that they will complain against the Saudi club for holding talks with German coach Theo Buecker while he was still under contract with the Egyptian club.

"Signing Buecker didn’t come after any kind of financial temptation or asking him to abandon Ismaili as the Egyptian club officials claimed," Khoqair said.

"We signed the German coach in a public conference which was even broadcasted by some Egyptian satellite channels," he added.

Buecker has earlier said that he will be staying with Ismaili next season, but after the team crashed out of the Egyptian cup semi final, the German announced that he will leave the club citing administrative reasons.

"Buecker didn’t sign a new contract with Ismaili and we don’t fear any complaints the Egyptian club is willing to file against us," Khoqair added.

Ismaili finished the domestic season empty handed after finishing only fourth in the Egyptian League as well as getting knocked out of the cup on the hands of Zamalek in the semi final.
