The UEFA Champions League finalists were accused of making secret payments to Beveren, a procedure prohibited by FIFA laws.

"FIFA confirmed that there is no evidence or indication of any infringement of the relevant regulations," FIFA said in a statement on their official website on Friday.

"The FA had already reached the same conclusion, having been requested by FIFA to investigate the case."

Arsenal said they have no control or influence over Beveren, insisting that their loaning funds to the Belgian club in 2001 was to help them stabilize their finances.

The Gunners have an arrangement with Beveren to play friendly games and there is option to loan players between both clubs.
