Barcelona have extended the contract of French winger Ludovic Giuly until 2008, the Spanish and European champions said.
"Ludovic Giuly, who was under contract until 2007, has extended his relationship with the Club for an extra year," read a statement carried by the club's website.
Barcelona didn't say how much will Giuly get paid for this extra year but revealed that the buyout clause remains 60 million Euros.
The 30-year-old international was surprisingly dropped from France's squad for the World Cup in Germany.
He joined Barcelona in 2004 after leading former side Monaco to the final match of the UEFA Champions League.
