"We are negotiating for the exit of Sorin this summer," Villareal president Fernando Roig was quoted as saying by Sky Sports Network on Friday.

Sorin joined Villareal on a free transfer from Brazilian club Cruzeiro in 2004 after short loan spells at Lazio, Barcelona and Paris St. Germain.

He has been a prominent figure in the UEFA Champions League campaign last season that saw the club reach the competition's semi final on their debut.

"His sale is almost certain because of many reasons, we have several offers," Roig added.

Despite having two years left on his contract with the 'Submarines', coach Manuel Pellegrino is ready to let the 30-year-old full back go, with Inter, Stuttgart and Tottenham are all reportedly interested.
