"Alkmaar have made a bid worth 1.5 million Euros while Ahli have offered just 600,000 to acquire the player's services," Shikabala's agent, Ahmed Swaylam, told FilGoal.com on Wednesday.

Ahli marketing director Adli Al-Qaeyi said on Tuesday that the club has reached a verbal agreement with PAOK's officials to sign Shikabala and the deal should be completed in the "upcoming hours".

Swaylam has also said that PAOK is likely to accept Alkmaar's offer because they don't believe Shikabala should return to Egypt for military service as rumored.

Meanwhile, Konyaspor striker Ahmed Belal will fly to Turkey next week to inform his club of Ahli's bid before resuming negotiations with the Egyptian champions.
