Ismaili have re-signed Abd-Rabou from French side Strasbourg for an undisclosed fee, and without revealing the length of the contract.

"My return to Ismaili, my original club, will help me retain my top form," Abd-Rabou told reporters on Tuesday.

The 22-year-old joined Strasbourg last season from Ismaili and put on a good display in the first half of the season.

But he was hit with a series of injuries that ruled him out of the African Cup of Nations and several matches in the French league before Strasbourg were relegated to Ligue 2.

"My spell with Strasbourg was not a failure, I returned to Egypt because the French club decided to offload some of their players and re-organize their team in order to return to Ligue 1," Abd-Rabou said.

The Egyptian international said he intends to repeat the European adventure in case he finds another opportunity.
