Werder Bremen striker Miroslav Klose praised teammate Mohamed Zidan, noting that the Egyptian striker has changed to the better after spending a year with FSV Mainz.

Zidan gave an impressive performance in the 2-1 win over Hamburg in the League Cup semi-final.

"He has become less selfish," Klose was quoted as saying by German newspaper Bild on Thursday.

"He has become more of a team-player, which in turn made him more dangerous," the German international added.

The Egyptian striker scored the opener of his side's victory over Hamburg that lifted them to the League Cup final where they will face Bayern Munich on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Bremen's Croatian striker Ivan Klasnic said he will do his best to ensure his place in the starting line-up at the expense of Klose or Zidan.

Bremen will kick-off their Bundesliga campaign against Hanover on the 13th of August.
