He wants European success for Inter
Inter Milan have signed Argentinean striker Hernan Crespo from Chelsea on a two year contract, the Serie A champions said on Monday.
"The striker has signed a two-year contract until 30 June 2008," read a statement on Inter's official website.
The 31-year-old international joins the Nerazzurri on a free transfer, but the Premiership champions have the option to take him back after one season.
Crespo had made it known that he wants to leave Stamford Bridge and return to Italy.
Inter sporting director Marco Branca had traveled to London early on Monday to finalize the deal with Chelsea officials.
Crespo, who played for Inter in the 2002-2003 season, has failed to adapt to life in the English capital.
He is no stranger to Italian football as he previously played for Serie A sides Parma, Lazio and AC Milan on loan.
