Inter, who also have Alvaro Recoba, Adriano and Julio Cruz in their ranks, are reportedly chasing Fiorentina's Luca Toni and Juve's Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Martins showed shakey form last season and was relegated to the bench, with the signing of Crespo he believes his starting chances almost evaporated.

"Oba has requests from Tottenham, Newcastle, Portsmouth and Valencia," Bastianelli was quoted as saying by Calcio Italia.

"Martins feels very close to Inter and (owner Massimo) Moratti, but it seems clear that we have to find a solution after the club signed Crespo.

"There are offers on the table, but the player has yet to be placed on the transfer list. We are in continual contact with the club."

The 22-year-old international scored 13 goals in 42 appearances in all competitions last season.
