Zidan was doubtful for the Uruguay friendly due to an ankle injury that forced him to miss Bremen's Bundesliga opener against Leverkusen on Sunday, but Bremen confirmed that the player flew to Egypt and will be ready for the game on Wednesday.

The former Mainz striker earlier told Dream TV that he wants the Uruguay game to be a fresh new start for him in order to revive his international career and improve his rocky relation with the team's coach Hassan Shehata.

If he plays against Uruguay, it will be Zidan's first international game since his elimination from the Egyptian African Cup of Nations winning team on January.
