Belal scored the only goal of the game in the 25th minute from a rebound to lift Konyaspor to third place in the Turkish League with four points.

Before the win over Denizlispor, Konyaspor, whom plays for Egyptian duo Ahmed Belal and Abdul-Zaher Al-Sakka, drew in their Turkish League opening game against Sakaryaspor.

Elsewhere, Beshir Al-Tabei's Caykur Rizespor registered their second point of the season following a 1-1 draw against Sivasspor to lye in eleventh position.
