Ahli assistant coach and caretaker football director, Hossam Al-Badri earlier said that the club want to forward a request to postpone the game against Asyut due to the team's African Champions League participation.

"The EFA didn’t receive any requests from Ahli to postpone the Asyut Petroleum game," EFA Spokesman Medhat Shalabi told FilGoal.com on Saturday.

"We don't have any intention to add any changes to the League fixtures table set prior to the start of the competition," Shalabi added.

The Asyut game might come just four days before Ahli's home clash against Asante Kotoko in the African Champions League quarter final which will be staged on August 25th, 26th or 27th.
