Pizarro officially joined the Giallorossi as he put pen-to-paper on a four-year contract to end the protracted transfer, the Serie A side announced on their official website on Saturday.

The 26-year-old was hesitant to complete the move as he couldn't agree personal terms with Roma officials but he made a u-turn to secure a move to Luciano Spalletti's side.

Pizarro joined Inter Milan from Udinese in the summer of 2005, but he failed to establish himself in coach Roberto Mancini's squad.

Pizarro is Roma's third signing after acquiring the services of Max Tonetto and Marco Cassetti.
