Ahli manager Manuel Jose chastised his players despite the huge victory over Kotoko that put them close to a place in the African Champions League semis.

The African champions romped to a 4-0 lead in just 19 minutes and fans got ready for a record win but Ahli players looked satisfied, failing to launch more raids on the visitors net.

"I am so disappointed because we played for 30 minutes only," the Portuguese told reporters after Saturday's game.

"These players should have paid more respect to the fans who came to support them in the Stadium."

The result put Ahli in second place of Group A with seven points, tailing leaders Sfaxien by two points.

But Jose voiced his satisfaction over the victory and the display of playmaker Mohamed Abou-Treika who has been instrumental for his side.

Abou-Treika scored the first goal then dished out two assists in his first start for Ahli since injuring his knee late in July during his the 1-0 victory over ENPPI in the Egyptian Super Cup.

"It is good that we grabbed the three points. We need to win one of our two remaining games to reach the semis," he said.

"Abou-Treika is a superstar and although he wasn't in full form, he helped us restore our flow."

Meanwhile, Jose hit out at a reporter who insisted to ask reserve goalkeeper Nader Al-Sayed whether he will stay with Ahli or seek a move out in search for regular football.

Al-Sayed was the starting keeper of the Egyptian national team till he signed for Ahli last summer but he went down the pecking order to Essam Al-Hadari and Amir Abdul-Hamid.

Jose shouted at the journalist and accused him of attempting to create troubles for the team.

"It seems you want to see blood, so please go to a butcher's place instead of searching for it within the team," he said angrily.
