Badra earns Tunisia call-up for Sudan qualifier

Badra's participation has sparked problems for Ahli

Tunisia-Murad Teyeb: Veteran defender Khaled Badra has been recalled by coach Roger Lemerre for the Tunisian national team squad for the 2008 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Sudan.

Lemerre named a 24-man squad for the match which will take place in Tunisia on October 7th.

Meanwhile, the Carthage Eagles will be without Radhi Jaidi who announced he was retiring from international football and Troyes forward Ziad Jaziri through injury.

"Jaziri is still nursing an injury and is facing some problems with his club," Lemerre said.

The French boss also confirmed Jaidi's decision to quit the national team.

"He said on Tuesday that he wants to concentrate on his club (Birmingham City)," he revealed.

Lemerre also said he was glad that Nabil Maaloul decided to return to the team in his capacity as an assistant coach.

The 2004 African champions were held to a goalless draw by Mauritius in their opening Group D game last month while Sudan beat Seychelles 3-0 to top the group.
