Will Saied quit football at 27?

Zamalek defender Ibrahim Saied said that teammate goalkeeper Abdul-Wahed Al-Sayed saved his life after he was subjected to an assault by four club members on Monday.

"Some members were throwing fireworks very close to me, I asked them to stop but they responded in a very aggressive manner and began to insult me," Saied told FilGoal.com

"One of the members tried to hit me with a glass bottle but Al-Sayed stretched his hand to defend me and was injured."

According to eyewitnesses, the incident flared when Saied was harassed by the accused members while entering the club to attend the training.

What began as a verbal spat escalated quickly as one of the four tried to hit Saied with a bottle but Al-Sayed intervened to defend his teammate.

"The club's security weren't there and the assaulters attempted to escape but other members caught them," the Egyptian international added.

Saied, who went to the hospital to accompany Al-Sayed, insisted he will not give up his right as his life was in danger.

On the other hand, Al-Sayed didn't mention Saied's name in the police's investigations.

The 27-year-old said some members tried to block him from entering the club and when he shouted at them they started their actions.
