The Egyptian giants are keen on landing Boujelbene in January, Zamalek general manager Alaa Mekled said.

Zamalek hope that their good relations with Sfaxien board can make the deal go through, he added.

The 29-year-old international was close on joining Zamalek in the off-season.

But Sfaxien coach Mrad Mahjoub held on to his skipper because of the African Champions League campaign.
