The fact that Inter are 11 points ahead of Milan due the latter's penalization for their part in the match-fixing scandal indicate that the Nerazzurri may be satisfied with a draw.

"This is the wrong way to think. You can never start out thinking you would settle for a draw, even if you're playing against a team of Martians," Mancini was quoted as saying by Inter.it in a pre-match conference on Friday.

Inter's cautious strategy against Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League proved a success as the team cruised to a 2-0 win and Mancini feels it is worth applying for any team.

"I don't know. I think we interpreted the game well against Bayern, then we were affected by the sending-off," the former Lazio boss said.

"Teams that attack obviously find it hard against those who play compact; there's no doubt about this. But this happens to Milan, Inter and every other team."

When asked about Milan's playmaker Kaka, The 41-year-old manager highlighted his threat but believes the Rossoneri have many other players who cause worry.

"Kaka is a world-class player. He's one of those players who can change a match with one move. We will certainly have to be careful not to concede him too much space."

"But Milan also have other champions we will have to be careful of. We will have to play a very careful game, and it will be important to make as few mistakes as possible."
