Liverpool coach Rafael Benitez is ready to depart the Premiership side and coach in Italy if a suitable offer comes, his agent Manuel Garcia Quilon said on Thursday.

"Benitez is a coach who is ideally suited to Italy and the country’s style of football. He is one of the three best coaches in the world," Quilon was quoted as saying by The Sun.

"If he gets an interesting offer from a club with a serious project, he will certainly consider it. In this case, he could even leave Liverpool."

Quilon was full of praise for Benitez for his hard-working mentality, saying that his client is capable of managing any team in the world.

"Benitez is a coach who prepares to a high degree. He works 24 hours a day and is able to prepare his teams tactically in a way few others in the world can."

The former Valencia manager has constantly denied that he wants to leave Liverpool, but a current period of inconsistent results in the Premiership could have changed his mind.

The Reds are in eighth place of the Premiership table with 17 points, a massive 11 points adrift of leaders Manchester United.

Benitez has been also subject of heavy criticism for his rotation policy that cost his side several matches.

Aside from the Premiership, Benitez's spell with Liverpool since his arrival in 2004 is considered to be successful after winning the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup.
