Amr Zaki continued his goal per match run to help Zamalek edge Libyan side Ittihad 1-0 at home in the first-leg of the Arab Champions League (ACL) round of 16 on Monday.

The Egypt international striker scored what proved to be the winner 11 minutes after the interval.

The Egyptian giants have now a slender lead over Ittihad before the second-leg takes place on the 28th of November.

Zamalek will be left ruing their missed chances as they squandered many opportunities to double the lead.

On the other hand, Ittihad played with an aggressive attitude as to block the opponent's attempts and deny them another goal which could have halted their chances in the second-leg.
