Ahli coach Manuel Jose has named a 24-man squad for the 2006 FIFA Club World Cup (CWC) that will take place in Japan next month.

Jose preferred to add an extra player to the demanded 23-man squad to avoid any injury problems, the club's official website reported on Saturday.

Striker Osama Hosni was included after recovering from an injury which put him on the sidelines for more than six weeks.

The Egyptian and African champions will open their CWC campaign against New Zealand's Auckland City on the 11th of December.

Meanwhile, Ahli's winger Gilberto will return to Cairo on Monday after undergoing a surgery in his Achilles tendon in Portugal.
