Luis Figo

Ittihad Jeddah announced on Thursday that they have delayed the unveiling of Inter Milan midfielder Luis Figo due to an "emergency obstacle".

The Saudi giants claimed last week that they have finalized the deal and that Figo will sign the contract in a huge press conference in Dubai on Thursday morning.

However, according to Ittihad's official website, Figo's agent Mariam Abou-Khdour said that the deal was temporarily stopped due to late disagreements over some financial details in the contract.

But she insisted that Ittihad president Mansour Al-Balwi and the Portuguese midfielder will hold a press conference later to confirm the transfer's completion.

Inter released a statement on their official website on Wednesday denying all reports regarding Figo's move to Ittihad.

"There are no negotiations for the transfer of Luis Figo to another club. The recent news of a possible transfer of the Portuguese midfielder is, therefore, completely groundless".
