هل ينتقل جمعة للشباب عقب نهاية عقده؟

Wael Gomaa said on Wednesday that he is satisfied of staying with Ahli after the Egyptian champions turned down a Qatari offer for him.

"I am not angry because of Ahli's refusal," Gomaa, who was keen on moving out of the Egyptian League, told FilGoal.com.

In December, Ahli accepted letting Gomaa go for a trial period at Premiership side Blackburn Rovers but the deal couldn't be sealed.

But when Qatari side Al-Rayan inquired for Gomaa, Ahli said he is not for sale, a decision the international defender said he understands.

"Ahli welcomed Blackburn offer because I was set to move to one of the strongest leagues worldwide but moving to Qatar can't be the next step in my career," he said.

The 31-year-old defender played a key role in Ahli's campaign towards the Egyptian and African titles last season.
