Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger said he is not sure whether German keeper Jens Lehmann will stay at Emirates next season or not.

The former Borussia Dortmund's contract runs out in the summer and both parties are yet to agree on extending the deal.

Arsenal do not offer more than a one-year contract extension to the over-30 players while Lehmann, 37, has recently said he is ready to carry on for another two years at least.

"I had a little meeting with him. At the moment, we have to sit down again to decide about that [contract]," Wenger was quoted as saying by Sky Sports Network on Friday.

"Ideally, I would like him to stay, but I do not know yet. You have to wait. He will not get more than one year.

"What can change is somebody can offer him three years. What we talk about is between him and me, but we have not really sat down yet and spoken about a contract," the French coach added.
