Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o has tried to clarify his blasting comments directed towards coach Frank Rijkaard on Tuesday.

Eto'o reacted in fury to recent comments made by Rijkaard and teammate Ronaldinho after the Cameroonian refused to make a late appearance in the Spanish La Liga match against Santander on Sunday.

"I'm not criticizing Rijkaard, him and me aren't going to have any problems," Eto'o said on late night radio program El Larguero.

The 25-year-old striker, instead, poured his anger on the comments made by teammate Ronaldinho.

"But what I am not going to accept is that someone comes out and says that everyone knows what they should do for the team.

Coach Rijkaard is to meet with sporting director Txiki Begiristain on Wednesday to discuss the volatile situation at Camp Nou.

"Rijkaard and Txiki Begiristain will analyze the situation and take the measures that they consider appropriate," Barca communications director Jordi Badia was quoted as saying.

Meanwhile, Eto'o remains unsure he can make the Barcelona squad for next week's Champions League game against Liverpool.

"My knee is a bit strange at the moment and I can't guarantee that I will be ready for the game," he said.

"I hope to be there and if I am I will be very happy, if not I will be supporting the rest of the team."
