The Portuguese coach said that these bosses are under pressure to deliver success in Europe's biggest competition, mentioning Wenger as an example.

"Plenty of managers have won the Champions League who will not be considered great managers. What is important is that you look at their careers in 10, 15, 20 years," Wenger was quoted as saying by BBC Sport on Friday.

"If you would like to compare every manager, you give each one the same amount of resources and say 'you have that for five years'. After five years you see who has done the most.

"Winning the Champions League will not change me life," the French tactician added.

The former Monaco boss confirmed his intention to field Arsenal's youngsters in the Carling Cup final which will be held at Millenium Stadium in Cardiff.

"I have full confidence in these players and I like to do what I say."
