Hossam Ghaly's relationship with Tottenham Hotspur could be strained after the Egypt midfielder made an inappropriate behavior when he was substituted in Spurs' 1-1 draw against Blackburn Rovers.

The former Ahli midfielder was introduced into the pitch in the 29th minute instead of the injured Steed Malbranque but was ironically cheered by his own fans whenever he touched the ball.

This was mainly due to Ghaly's delay in passing the ball that led to him being replaced on the hour mark, making a way for striker Robbie Keane.

However, Martin Jol's decision was not welcomed by the 25-year-old as he threw down his shirt and went straight into the tunnel amid heavy boos from the home crowd.

"You can't do that so we will deal with that. We always deal with that sort of thing, we will deal with it internally," Jol was quoted as saying by BBC Sport after the match.

South African striker Benedict McCarthy put Rovers ahead in the 32nd minute but was cancelled out by Jermain Defoe's strike in the 67th minute.
