The newspaper said that a reliable source inside the Jeddah-based club has confirmed Vuckovic's exit after he rejected a one-year contract worth $500,000.

However, it is expected that Bucker, who is currently in charge of surprise package Al-Wehda, could be Vuckovic's successor after he was handed the same offer.

The former Ismaili and Zamalek manager is considering his options after he has been approached by a number of Gulf clubs, following his season's achievement with Wehda.

Bucker led the Mecca Warriors into the Saudi League playoff stage for the first time ever, and they have recently ousted holders Al-Shabab from the competition, to face Ittihad Jeddah in the semi-finals.
