Rizespor, whom Egyptian duo Ibrahim Saied and Beshir Al-Tabie play for, guaranteed their place in the Turkish Super Lig following a 1-1 away draw with Sakaryaspor on Saturday.

Zafer Biryol put the visitors in front in the 19th minute but was cancelled out by Ergin Keles' strike in the 32nd minute.

Former Zamalek defender Saied was included in the starting line-up but was substituted at halftime after suffering a stomach muscle injury while Al-Tabie played the full 90 minutes and put in good display.

Rizespor finished in 15th place of the league table with 40 points, just one ahead of the relegation zone. Antalya, Erciyespor and Sakaryaspor have been relegated to the second division.

Elsewhere, Konyaspor were handed a 2-0 home defeat to Gaziantepspor.

Egyptian duo Mohamed Abdullah and Abdul-Zaher Al-Saqqa took part in the match but couldn't save their team from an embarrassing defeat.

Konyaspor missed out on playing in the UEFA Cup next season as they finished in eighth spot on 45 points.
