Alexandria - Hani Al-Awadi: Former Ittihad of Alexandria striker Mohamed Farouk complains to the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) over the non-payment of his salary.
‘Farouk claims 90 000 pounds and threatened to go to the EFA,’ said Gasser Mounir, director of Ittihad.
The 27-year-old forward will be a free agent in a few weeks as his contract expires on June 30 and he opted to switch destination as he committed his future to Petrojet.
Mounir revealed that the club owes the player only 8 000 pounds as 82 000 were deducted for absences, suspensions and public criticism for the board.
On the other hand Mounir will hold a press conference on Thursday to reveal the new signings and to present Hossam Hassan.
The veteran striker has joined Ittihad for a one-year-deal worth 500 000 LE.
