The Peruvian snubbed Juventus to join the Blues after his contract with the Bavarian giants expired.

"I think it's very important for me to win some titles and I have the chance to win them here," Pizarro told the club's official Web site

"I had some interesting offers but the most important thing was that I talked to the coach (Jose Mourinho), I talked to the people here and they were very interested."

Mourinho is looking to boost his attacking options, after the Blues have failed to recall Argentine striker Hernan Crespo from Inter Milan.

Pizarro is the second player to land in Stamford Bridge this summer, following the signing of Reading midfielder Steve Sidwell last week.
