Drogba is worried about Chelsea's ambitions
"If I think the club lacks ambition, then it is sure I will not stay too long," Drogba told The Sun on Tuesday.
The Blues, who are regarded as one of the biggest money-spending clubs in the world over the past three seasons, seem ready to try a more economic strategy this summer.
Chelsea acquired Reading's Steve Sidwell and Bayern Munich's Claudio Pizarro on free transfers, two players who are far from being world class, which seems to be concerning the top 'Drog'.
"I'm at the last big turning point of my career, I'm 29 and I don't have much time to lose," he said.
"It's time for one final big choice - should I stay or should I go? I am tempted to discover another world and to see what footballing life is like outside England."
The former Marseille ace did not hide his desire for a new challenge outside the Premiership.
"It would be a big disappointment if I never manage to play for teams that I dream of playing for. That would be terribly frustrating.
"Spain and Italy attract me a lot and, although I am a long way from saying farewell to Chelsea, you never know what can happen," he added.
Drogba has been Chelsea's top marksman last season, topping the Premiership charts with 21 goals, and scoring the two winners in Chelsea's cup double against Arsenal and Manchester United respectively.
