A 72-minute strike by Foudil Hadjadj earned Algerian giants Mouloudia Algiers their second straight Cup title after beating USM Algiers 1-0 in the final game on Thursday.

Hadjadj fired a rocketing 25-metre drive to shake the 5th of July stadium that was full of 70 000 supporters led by Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika.

"I'm delighted with the victory. It proves we are a strong team and we can win titles. The victory comes to consolate us especially after a quit disappointing season," said Hadjadj to El Heddaf magazine.

The victory seals a 6th Cup title for Mouloudia and the second in a row.
