Will Amir Azmi stay with Al-Shabab?

Saudi club Al-Shabab turned down a 300,000 Euros offer from an unidentified Ukrainian side for the out of favor Egyptian defender Amir Azmi, Al-Riyadh newspaper reported on Sunday.

The paper stated that Shabab considered the offer as financially unacceptable, despite their willingness to sell the 24-year-old stopper.

Shabab signed Azmi from PAOK Saloniki last January for 700,000 Euros, but the former Zamalek defender fell out with Portuguese coach Jose de Morias.

The strong center-half struggled to keep a regular place with the Saudi side, and has persistently revealed his desire to leave Riyadh.

Moreover, Azmi's exit has become inevitable after Shabab signed Argentine midfielder Juan Manuel Martinez last week, to make it four foreign players out of a maximum of three.
