Brazilian goalkeeper Rogerio Ceni hit his 73rd career goal with Sao Paolo to lead the club to a 1-0 victory over Internacional in the Brazilian Serie A on Wednesday.

Rogerio converted a 58th minute penalty and managed to keep the clean sheet to give his team three points against the FIFA World Club Cup champions.

Sao Paolo climbed to 2nd place on 17 points, four behind leaders Botafogo, while Internacional have just eight points in 16th place.

The legendary Rogerio is deemed as the world's highest goal scoring goalkeeper in football history, after he outran Jose Luis Chilavert's 63 goal record.

The Brazil international is a set piece specialist as he has 44 free kicks to his tally, in addition to 29 spot kicks.

Rogerio has 16 caps for the Selecao, but he is yet to mark his first international goal.
