The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) will assign a technical committee in order to investigate the recent failures of the Olympic and U-20 teams.

The Olympic team crashed out of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games preliminary round qualifiers, and then the team was recently humiliated in the All African Games in Algeria, suffering three straight defeats.

The U-20 team also failed to reach the 2007 FIFA World Cup in Canada, after they finished third in their group in the 2007 African Nations Cup.

Consequently, the EFA decided in a board meeting on Sunday that a solution must be found especially that youth teams are largely supported by the FA.

Meanwhile, FA president Samir Zaher decided to appoint former Ahli player Salah Hosni as the Association's General Secretary in place of Farouk Abdul-Wahab.
