Trabzonspor Egyptian midfielder Ayman Abdul-Aziz confirmed that he will not leave the Turkish club to join Zamalek after the deal fell through.

Abdul-Aziz, who joined Trabzon in January, has been recently targeted by his old club Zamalek and the 29-year-old welcomed the move, but both clubs failed to agree terms.

"Negotiations between Trabzon and Zamalek reached a dead end, because Zamalek's offer was totally unacceptable," Abdul-Aziz told FilGaol.com exclusively.

"Trabzon set a $4million asking price for my sale, but Zamalek offered only $1million."

Abdul-Aziz enjoyed a fine spell with the Turkish Super Lig side since joining in January for 1.5million Euros from Genclerbirligi, as he helped Trabzon finish fourth in the league.

"Trabzon bought me for 1.5million Euros just six months ago, so it is logic that they set a higher price for my departure," he added.

The Egypt international denied that the reason behind the deal's failure was due to his high salary demands with Zamalek.

"Zamalek is my home, my own demands have not affected the transfer, the situation was out of my hands," he said.
