The 23-year-old player has penned a five-year with the Royal club and is set to be presented to the press at the Santiago Bernabeu on Monday along with fellow Dutchman Royston Drenthe.
"Royston Drenthe and Wesley Sneijder will be presented this evening at 18:30 CET in the Presidential Balcony of the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. Both players passed their medicals this morning," read a statement on Real's official website on Monday.
Sneijder, who became the third Dutch player to join Real Madrid after Drenthe and veteran striker Ruud van Nistelrooy, is a product of the infamous Ajax youth system.
He made his first team appearance with Ajax in 2002 and has been a vital member of the team ever since, helping them win one Eredivisie title, two cup trophies and three Dutch Super Cups.
Sneijder is Real's fifth signing since German coach Bernd Schuster took over from Fabio Capello earlier this summer.
