Egyptian striker Ahmed Hossam “Mido” revealed that Middlesbrough sports director asked him about Ahli’s duo Emad Meteb and Mohamed Shawki and that he praised them.
“The sports director asked me about Meteb and Shawki and I said they are very distinguished players and are permanent members of the Egyptian national team,” Mido, who already had an agreement with Middlesbrough, told FilGoal.com on Thursday.
Boro have offered 1.5million Pounds for Meteb and 250,000 for Shawki. Ahli have announced that a move could be made in January.
Both players will fly to England after the national team's friendly against Ivory Coast in France on August 22nd to have a three-day-trial.
