"I've been offered Adriano on loan and I said no," the French tactician said on the club's website.

"We do not need him and it was an easy decision to make because we're not out there to take a striker on loan."

Since the departure of Thierry Henry to Barcelona, many have suggested that Arsenal would be left in an attacking crisis.

However, the Gunners managed to begin the Premiership in style, beating Fulham and Manchester City and drawing with Blackburn Rovers in their first three matches of the season.

Wenger is content with the attacking options he has at his disposal and does not look for new recruitments.

"I bought in [strikers] Eduardo and Nicklas Bendtner. I already had Emmanuel Adebayor and Robin Van Persie plus I still have Theo Walcott and Abou Diaby who can play through the middle."

"Why should I bring more players in? I have big faith in my squad and they're proving me right at the moment," he added.

Even if he needed Adriano, he wouldn't have had brought him due to Inter's demand of signing an unnamed Arsenal player.

"They wanted to give us a player but wanted one back in return. I won't say who it was but I did not want to lose the player they wanted."
