Former Levante skipper Alexis, currently at Valladolid, revealed that defender Alvaro used to show up at training sessions tired because of excessive drinking.

"We all love to party, but that's just unprofessional," he was quoted as saying by Spanish daily AS.

"I questioned his attitude as a captain because it's important to be professional both on and off the field.

"It didn't affect his performance, but I still don't regard the situation as normal."
