Abdullah could join Zamalek

Konyaspor midfielder Mohamed Abdullah said that Zamalek are interested in signing him during the winter transfer window in January.

"Zamalek contacted me and revealed their interest, and I think this time the offer is welcome," Abdullah told FilGoal.com.

The former Ahli midfielder rejected Zamalek this summer as he insisted that he had no intentions of leaving Europe for a return to Egypt.

However, Konyaspor's dismal start to the season, lying third from bottom after six games, forced the 26-year-old to reconsider his options.

"I snubbed Zamalek at the start of the season because I had ambitions with Konya, but unfortunately things have changed here and I am seriously pondering a return to Egypt," he said.

"I also have another offer from Turkish side Baladeyat Istanbul, and I will come to a decision soon."

Konya announced on Tuesday the sacking of manager Nurullah Saglam, who acquired the services of Abdullah from Ahli last season.
